The rise of AI = Downfall of Humans?

Disclaimer: No AI was used or harmed in writing this blog. We are strictly against AI cruelty.

Artificial Intelligence is rising at lightning speed but every time it gets smarter, I wonder if humans become lazier? When was the last time you put efforts in “thinking”? And by thinking I don’t mean thinking about which prompt will give you the best result! When we (23 y/o’s or older ‘boomers’ today) were in school and given a project, as small as writing about the solar system, we used to flip through so many pages in all the different books and then we could find one fact that was usable in the project. Nowadays it’s about “give me 10 facts about the solar system that I can use in my school project, grade 8”.
I don’t mean to say that using AI is bad but it is definitely decreasing our productivity and curiosity. I believe we have stopped stepping out of our comfort zone. Got a pimple? a prompt can give you remedies. Got an unexpected guest over? a prompt can help you kick them out! We sometimes tend to forget that we have made AI and not the other way around.
AI can always HELP us, but instead we let it control us. If chatgpt has said a pimple can be cured only by using salicylic acid, we will not even try using something else, no matter how loudly your mom asks you to apply neem or sandalwood. Which is still fine because we change with time, but the muscle training of our brain is being blocked. After AI has come we have blocked our brain to think out of the comfort zone or put efforts in actually trying to find the answer ourselves, while we are the ones who have trained AI.
Our brain’s creativity and productivity is fueled through the amount of consistency and efforts we put in to explore. The moment we stop doing that our brain becomes lazy, and using AI is good but it should be used to polish OUR OWN ideas. Because a lazy brain will never give authenticity to the thoughts.
When we first discovered chatgpt, we were all so surprised at every single thing it does. We wanted to explore what chatgpt is but since then we have lost the command over productivity. Because now every time a question pops up in our head we straight up ask chatgpt without realising that we might already have the answer in our head. So my point is that AI disturbs the brain workout if used a lot. It can always be a great blessing if used in moderation or used just to add upgraded words or maybe a few missing researched points.
You might think this blog is very simple in language or maybe the hook lines are not great, but let me tell you, it’s because even I am still recovering from the AI fever.
